The only way that I have used USB to learn how to use USB to reset Windows 7 password. Windows Password Key Enterprise is the tool that I have used to reset the password. USB is a necessary disk. See more about Windows password reset on here.

    Re: Mac USB hub

The hub appears on my Mac based on what is plugged into it. I have the UH720, and in the Mac system information it appears as two separate hubs: a USB3.0 hub with my 3.0SS devices plugged in, and a separate 2.0 hub with my 2.0 devices plugged in.

The USB 3 cables are different from other cables:
use more wires than other USB cables. This makes USB 3 cables a bit thicker than other USB cables.
    Usually have a blue insert.
Have an "SS" symbol on the connector that plugs into the computer.
Use a different connector on the device end than USB 2 cables.
Can deliver more power to an attached device (900mA.
However, If the device end of the cable fits into the connector on the device, yes. However, because it has fewer wires, you won't get USB 3 speed and power may be limited to 500 mA.
