    Question Tl-mr6400

    Model :

    Hardware Version :

    Firmware Version :

    ISP : [/COLOR]

All of my Ubuntu machines face the problem of able to connect to the network but do not have Internet access. It is able to communicate with the router, like accessing the gateway, 192.186.1.1. However, it cannot access the Internet.

They work normally for other types of network like hotspot via handphone and when TL-MR6400 is working in wireless router mode but not 3G/4G router mode.
Windows machines are also able to connect to the router in both modes.

May I know how to fix the problem?

Try to enter DNS addresses in DHCP Settings of your router.

I'm a perfect nooby, what do you mean by "Try to enter DNS addresses in DHCP Settings of your router". What should I do ?

    Thanx a lot !

You can try to ping 8.8.8.8. If it shows there is connection, then it means DNS server is missing so the machine cannot translate the website name (e.g www.google.com) to ip address (e.g 8.8.8.8). Then you can enter DNS addresses like 8.8.8.8 (google public DNS) in the DHCP setting in router setting page. You can do a quick search on what is DNS server.
I didn't know this when I had this problem last year, so I unfortunately changed my OS. Hopefully you can solve this problem soon.
