My M7350 works fine over Wifi, but I can't figure out how to use it via USB.

I run MacOSX Sierra on late model MacBook Pro.

The M7350 charges via USB and OSX recognises the device, but I have not been able to figure out how to use it's 4G connection via WiFi.

Entering system_profiler SPUSBDataType in Terminal yields the following response:

M7350:

Product ID: 0x0005
Vendor ID: 0x2357
Version: 2.28
Serial Number: c343c4646db3
Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: TP-LINK Technologies Co., Ltd.
Location ID: 0x14100000 / 5
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): 500
Extra Operating Current (mA): 0

I have previously connected sucessfully via USB to a similar Device from Huawei that I lost and replaced with the M7350.

I have several reasons for needing to connect via USB: I run virtual machines that need to connect to different networks and the wifi-network that I am usually connected to allows med to access local servers that I need, but does not allow VPN-connections that I need for my virtual machines, so with the Huawei I connected Wifi to the local network and use USB/4g for VPN-access to other networks.

Has anybody successfully used the M7350 via USB?
