Exclamation 2.4Ghz Band has no Internet connection.

    Model : TP-Link Archer C3150

    Hardware Version : V1

    Firmware Version : Archer C3150(US)_V1_160707

    ISP : CenturyLink

    Hello,

I've been having an ongoing wireless issue with my recently purchased TP-Link Archer C3150. I'm having an issue specifically with the 2.4Ghz band, where, devices can connect to the signal, but, do not receive any Internet connection. As far as wireless settings, I'm using WPA2 Personal with AES on the 2.4Ghz band on 802.11bgn mixed mode. For the 5Ghz band, I'm using the same security settings on 802.11ac only. I have tried power cycling, resetting to factory defaults and nothing seems to resolve the issue. This is something I really need resolved as I have a few devices in my home that can only connect to the 2.4Ghz band.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Do you have any USB 3.0 devices connected to the router? Or any 2.4GHz interference sources around your home?
Please try to find a solution from the FAQ below:

Hey, I reported a similar problem in my Archer D9.
The device showed that it was emmiting at 2.4GHz but my compatible devices were not seing the wifi.
Try switching the emission channel of the 2.4GHz band from auto to fixed. Try different channels, in my case just a couple of them worked properly.

Hello, I'm bumping this thread as the issue still persists. I'd like to clarify that devices ARE able to connect to the 2.4Ghz signal, but there is no internet connection. Meaning, even though i can connect to it, the internet does not work on it. Thanks.

I'm having the exact same problem with my Archer C1200. 5GHz is completely fine, while the 2.4GHz has no internet connectivity. The wireless network shows up, and my devices can connect to it, but there is no internet available.

Just thought I'd post here to say I'm having the same issue with 2.4GHz on my RE355. No issues with 5GHz, but on 2.4GHz while my devices can connect, there will be no Internet connectivity and I'll have to do a reboot before it starts working again for a few days until the problem resurfaces...

Did you upgrade the firmware of RE355?

Yup, I'm using Firmware v1.0 , Build 20151203 which I believe is the latest.

At least according to http://www.tp-link.com/us/download/RE355.html#Firmware anyway.
