Secure Easy Smart Configuration Utility on TL-SG108E

    Region : Argentina

    Model : TL-SL2210WEB

    Hardware Version :

    Firmware Version :

    ISP :

I am about to buy a couple of TL-SG108E switches.
The switches are connected to both a secure and an insecure network.
The idea is to separate them by putting them on a separate VLAN.

The only thing I cannot get a clear answer on is this: is it possible to prevent access to the "Easy Smart Configuration Utility"-port from the insecure VLAN?

    Many thanks

You most certainly mean the web UI (the ESCU runs on your PC, not on the switch). The answer is: no, the web UI can be reached through any VLAN if one knows the IP assigned to the switch. If you need to isolate the web UI from certain VLANs, use a Smart switch (for example, a TL-SG2008), not an Easy Smart switch.
