Well theoretically a router can handle up to 250.

The recommended clients is 15, actually the number of clients can be connected in practice is mostly depended on the hardware parameters such as CPU capacity, RAM size, session limit of the router/access point and the applications running on the clients, the above number is based on the common use such as web browsing, watching online video.
